I know it's not Daily...you know it's not Daily...let's just say it's a catchy title and leave it at that eh?

Ok then, as promised yesterday i'm making an effort to post today and our subject?

Flat Caps.

Oh where to begin :) ...perhaps I should start by pointing out that the following diatribe is merely my opinion, and it's also an opinion about something related to the fashion world which is ephemeral at best and also mostly down to personal opinion...all agreed? jolly good, right then...Flat Caps...perhaps you have noticed the resurgence of this particular style of headgear? it seems to be mainly centred around the pretentious and trendy who inhabit London (although I have seen a few people with them on around Cambridge and i'm sure they're popping up elsewhere too) they flounce around in their oh so carefully rumpled clothes and brand new 70's style trainers that they've spent hours scuffing up, which in itself is irritating enough, but the flat caps just 'cap' it all (sorry)...they think they're being 'post-modern' or 'retro-chic' or whatever and ponce about with smug little expressions on their eminently punchable faces (why is it that all these people look like Will Young?) well I can't see why they think they're so cool to be honest...after all, who used to wear flat caps? grizzled yorkshiremen and cheeky young cockney street urchins (shooiinne ya shoes guvvnaa!)...that's right, peasants! Which makes me laugh...here they are going to all that trouble to look a particular way, no doubt spending lots of money on it too, and all they're doing is hearkening back to the clothes that people with neither money nor choice about what they wore used to wear!

Now top hats! that's the way forward :)
