Well i'm back from the Tidy Weekender in one piece...I did actually consider trying to find a computer with an internet connection on the site and posting a message...but couldn't be arsed quite frankly :) so today I shall give you all a few memorable moments from the last 4 days:
Our little group was split into 2 cars with the girls in one car and Me, Doug & Phil in the other...the girls were following us as they had absolutely no idea where they were going...as we're getting to the tricky bit of the journey (ie. not the M6) the girls get cocky and overtake us just before we have to turn off the road we're on...we go the right way, they sail onwards to Chester...one panicked phone call later and we've directed them onto a road that'll get them going in the right direction, we say that we'll pull over somewhere along there and wait for them...we do...after waiting for about 45 minutes we call them again to find out where the hell they are and they tell us that "we saw some signs for Prestatyn and couldn't be bothered to wait for you so we went that way"...so we sat waiting for them while they waltzed off without letting us know we could carry on...this was the first of many amusing girl 'incidents' over the course of the weekend.
When we were in the club on Friday night Adam from Lab 4 recognised Me and Doug on the dancefloor and came over to say hello...as i've said before, what a nice chap :)
10 minutes after we got back to the Chalet on Friday night/Saturday morning there was a knock at the door...it was a confused looking young chap who stared at us blankly for a moment then said "baa! i'm a lost lamb and I can't remember where my chalet is...can I come in?"...obviously we let him in :) ...he stayed with us for most of the weekend and was absolutely hilarious...especially when he lost his voice and got scared of Strepsils.
Mark EG's set on Saturday night was absolutely amazing...I danced so hard that it finished me off for the rest of the weekend...I tried to dance on Sunday but if i'm being honest it was more of a tired stumble.
Doug spent the whole weekend talking like a rudeboy Chav, which was fucking hilarious.
Tidy TV became our friend...even though it was just footage from the previous night played over and over again it was impossible to turn off...watching people behave like absolute disgraces in front of a camera is very amusing :)
The girls all saying that they "had nothing to wear" on Saturday night...right then, so the 2 cars loaded to the roof with their bags all had nothing in them eh?
We discovered that the Welsh are very fond of the letter L.
Getting your hand gaffa-taped to your head is a punishment for being naughty in Yorkshire apparently...i'm not sure if there's a sliding scale of punishments for crimes of different severity...perhaps ranging from having your knees blu-tacked together to having your wrists nailed to your ankles?...hhmmmm maybe not.
Being told that I had to have either a picture ID card or a passport to get the name on the ticket changed over, spending ages making an ID card, then getting there and finding out that a credit card would have been fine...bugger.
Having one of the Tidy cameramen join our party on Sunday, he got lots of footage of people being silly, we decided to form our own army (can't remember why though) and appointed Mikey (the lost lamb from earlier) as our spokesperson...unfortunately he couldn't grasp the concept of not swearing at the camera...so most of the footage was useless...bloody funny though.
On the way home the girls got lost in McDonalds car park...they mistook the sign 'Drive-Thru' for 'Exit'...easy mistake to make I suppose.
They were also supposed to meet us in a services for some food, we told them where it was and waited...30 minutes later they called us to say that they'd gone past it by accident...they did see the sign...but thought it said 23 miles instead of two thirds of a mile...*sigh*
I'm sure there are loads more little stories but I can't seem to remember them at the moment...oh well :)
