It would seem that yesterday's post was sufficiently evil enough to kick me off my self-satisfied little perch of righteousness :) my good rating has plummeted from 95% to 77%...yikes!...well let's see if todays post helps matters shall we? You see, in something of a departure for me and this site as a whole, there will be no rage influenced diatribe today...no vented spleen (eewww)...no shouting...no derision...no moaning, caterwauling or anguished yelping...I...am a happy chap today :) So what event, what astonishing occurance, nay, what miracle is responsible for my unseemly good nature? Simple...I *finally* got around to watching "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" last night :)

It was exactly the wonderful film I knew it would be...every aspect of it is spot on, from the superb script to the inspired direction and pitch-perfect performances from the cast, it is absolutely amazing...perhaps even more amazing though is the way that the subject matter is handled...this could easily have plunged into normal overly-sentimental romantic comedy territory...but it doesn't...it's subtle, clever, witty, knowing and so very true :) a beautiful film that makes you feel incredibly happy and incredibly sad at the same time because it's so easy to relate to, yes there's the whole memory erasing part of the story (which is obviously slighly harder to identify with...unless you've had your memory erased of course...but then you wouldn't remember eh :)) but that's merely there as a vehicle to make the films main point...which I won't spoil :P just make sure you all watch it yourselves, then you can make your own minds up ;)
